How shoes should fit ?
How to choose your shoes according to your morphology?
Have you ever wondered: how to choose your shoes according to your morphology? Maybe in your mind so far, all shoes fit all women.
Did you know that it is still possible to choose shoes that are better suited to your body and build?
I suggest you discover which shoes will fit your body better.
Of course, be free to continue to choose the models you like. These are tips to improve your style and embellish your silhouette, but there is one factor that cannot be explained: love at first sight! And the same goes for your shoes… You’re not going to miss a sweet desire and it’s also very good like that!
Remember that there are no beautiful silhouettes and no less beautiful silhouettes. That’s not the point. The important thing is to feel good in your body and good in your shoes. Choosing the right models can help you do this. Finally, the tale of our childhood Cinderella was already that: a woman who finds the perfect shoe for her foot!
So here, depending on your morphology, is a brief overview of what will best suit you by:
- ankle boots
- and more…
And I repeat, I give you my opinion based on my experiences and what I observe, but I do not of course claim to tell you to follow it literally if you fall for models other than those recommended!
If you are small and thin
Choose heels. They will lengthen your figure and legs. This is an undeniable asset and a very good point for the smallest of us. However, avoid thick heels and shoes that are too massive and would not give your thin legs a pretty look. Head for the pumps with thin heels or high heels for you.
Also choose low shoes such as heel boots that will enhance your fine calves.
That said, the thin legs are also great for all high boots that create a beautiful silhouette. But still avoid boots that are too high and will break your slender look. So if you want to fall for a pair of waders, try them before you buy to make sure they don’t overweight your figure.
Another piece of advice: wear boots under your pants or choose a model higher than your ankle so you don’t squeeze your leg.
A ballerina with a small heel can be a good choice for everyday comfort. Always for comfort, sneakers are also to be taken into consideration because they fit well to your fine morphology.
How shoes should fit If you are small and round ?
Choose heels without hesitation, they will once again lengthen your figure and legs. Instead, choose boots or short boots to avoid breaking your leg and looking smaller.
Avoid stiletto heels to keep the class together.
You can also easily wear square platforms and heels to slim your figure and shape your leg.
Ballerinas are also to be chosen with a small heel to avoid the tight leg effect.
On the sneaker side, you can go as they will make you a rather thin foot. The compensated model is well suited to your morphology.
If you are average and thin
You can wear many different pairs of shoes. All shoes will fit (boots, low boots, pumps, waders,…).
Opt for heels (not too thick) to launch yourself even more if you wish. And good news, all heel heights will fit you, whether it’s small, medium or large.
It all depends on how high you feel comfortable and comfortable in your body, and of course on the type of activity (at work you can “settle for” a small or medium heel to be more comfortable.
For your evenings, don’t hesitate to be more daring).
Ballerinas are also ideal for you because you don’t need to slim down your figure or slim your leg too much.
Sneakers are perfect for you for the same reason.
In short, you are lucky with the shoes and you can vary the models according to your desires.

If you are medium and round
Choose heels to slim your figure in a balanced way, whether with boots, boots or pumps. Choose them rather thick and/or square (no stiletto heels). For height, choose a medium or high heel to shape your leg. It all depends on how high you feel comfortable and comfortable in your body, and of course on the type of activity (at work you can “settle for” an average heel to be more comfortable. For your evenings, don’t hesitate to be more daring).
The compensated sneakers will suit your body shape to refine your silhouette.
If you are tall and thin
You can afford a lot of things since you are already slim. All shoes will fit (boots, low boots, pumps, waders,…). Avoid very high heels if you are very tall (no heel over 6 cm). This is to avoid being too high perched on the ground on a daily basis. In the evening, you can be more daring if you are interested.
Ballerinas are also ideal for you because you don’t need to refine your figure by spending your day high up.
Sneakers are perfect for you for the same reason.
You’re lucky, the shoes and you fit!
How should shoes fit If you are tall and round ?
Choose heels of course, whether they are boots or pumps. Choose them rather thick and/or square. And not too high, preferably since you are already tall or very tall (no heel over 6 cm for the very tall ones, again to avoid the too high perched & massive pace).
Also, choose boots that are not too high (thigh-high style should be avoided) so as not to make your figure heavier.
The compensated sneakers will fit your body very well.

If you have strong calves, whatever your body shape
Feel free to wear high boots that will refine your figure. Above all, choose boots with a certain width at the ankle and calf level, this will further refine your silhouette. There’s nothing worse than choosing high boots that stick to your skin, including your ankle. I personally find this to be a lack of taste. But of course that is only my humble opinion.
Choose boots that reach knee level, neither too high nor too low.
The thick leather models are an asset for a good fit. And you can also choose them with elastic band to make them easier to put on.
You can also opt for wedge and thick/square heels, which will bring a certain harmony to your figure (no stiletto heel).
If you have thin calves, whatever your morphology
You can afford almost anything. High, very high (thigh boots) or low boots.
Unlike strong calves, avoid very wide shaped boot models, the look would be unflattering and you would have the impression of floating (the boot doesn’t hold well to the leg, it sits on the bottom of your leg and that’s a shame since it’s a boot).

To conclude, remember that the most important thing when choosing your shoes is to pay attention to the balance and harmony of your figure.
If you are thin, fine to medium heels will fit you very well. If you are rounder, prefer thicker and/or square heels. If you are small, lengthen your figure with heels. If you are medium or tall, wear heels or stay flat.
